Island Dreams
The reason I am drawn to these weathered old piers runs deep. Maybe it’s the longing to return to the origins of life itself on this beautiful planet. Maybe it is the sense of freedom or simply the memories of launching boats as a kid from a pier and going fishing with mates. Or just the quiet reflection that it inspires. It is a great getaway and a place of pleasure.
The old wooden planks of this pier seem to float over the shimmering turquoise and teal sea, creating a visual trail that leads to the deep blue horizon and my dreams of what lies beyond. Mother Nature and Father Time, just hanging out in perfect harmony. This was a perfect visual vacation. In this busy, noisy world, this was a moment of quiet tranquility that I feel fortunate to have encountered and captured.
